Girls Beware

Girls Beware is a full-one day community workshop for girls ages 12-16. Girls learn about community resources they may need to access as they are finding their independence. This program focuses on violence prevention and safety for young girls.  In the past, we  have invited speakers from: Victim ServicesWood Buffalo Detachment of the RCMP,  and  Waypoints (formerly Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society).

Topics covered include:

 •  Peer Pressure  •  Community Resources
 •  Self Defense Training  •  Internet Safety
