This one hour workshop aims to provide girls grades 2-6 with the opportunity to increase their overall understanding of online safety in addition to related concepts.
This workshop offers girls the chance to learn about these concepts in an interactive way with a trained facilitator. We aim to increase awareness on how to stay safe online, enhance perspective on how to spot fake news and digital distortion, and increase awareness of the effects of screen time on our health. With the increasing amount of youth accessing the internet and the advancement of technology, online child exploitation has increased significantly in Canada. This has led to a greater need for thorough, accessible, and informative workshops for youth.
