Empowering girls in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo through 100% cost-free & gender-specific programming.

Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta offers research-based programs and curricula. Echoing our mandate, our programs encompass Healthy-Active Living (STRONG), Knowledge Enrichment (SMART) and Informed Life Skills (BOLD), facilitated by trained professionals in a gender-sensitive, safe and supportive learning environment, both in-/after-school and virtual settings. We spark girls’ interest and passion in building healthy Mind+Body (sports, mental health and substance abuse prevention), learning gender-based violence (including self-defence, cyber safety, girls-led advocacy, and Indigenous/cross-cultural values), acting on anti-bullying, achieving academically, exploring STEM, managing money, navigating media messages and many more.
