Summer-2022

Art Math (ages 6-8)

Two camps: July 4 & 5, July 7 & 8

This program is designed to help find math in everyday experiences and create awareness about the importance of math skills for future educational choices and career options.

10am-2pm daily.

Reaching SMART (ages 9+)

Two camps: July 11 & 12, July 14 & 15

This program is an expansion of the Operation SMART program designed to encourage girls to approach inquiry based ‘big-questions’ through a harmonized lens of Indigenous land-based knowledge and Western understandings of STEM.

10am-2pm daily.

Mentoring (ages 6-8)

Two camps: July 25 & 26, July 28 & 29

Guests from the community will join us and share about their careers. We will have discussions, create crafts and other fun summer activities!

10am-2pm daily.

Power of Stories/Mind+Body (ages 6-8)

August 8-11

Participants will cover the four main topics of our Mind + Body program which include: physical activity, body image/self esteem, stress management & nutrition. It will also incorporate portions of our Power of Stories program by making connections to Indigenous culture and storytelling.

10am-2pm daily.

Introduction to Your Period (ages 9+)

July 9 - 10am-12pm

Join us as we explore menstruations, changes to our bodies and minds during puberty, and how we can support those with menstruating bodies in our community.

#GirlsToo Self-defence (ages 9+)

July 18 & 19

Over two days we will discuss online safety and community resources and the 6 Stars of Self Defense and more. We will also practice basic self-defence moves.

10am-2pm daily.

#GirlsToo (ages 9+)

July 21 & 22 - 12pm-3pm

We will cover topics like consent, personal boundaries. Each day will wrap up with a recap of what we have learned and an activity that aligns with the topic.

August 22 & 23 - 10am-2pm

We will take a look at the media, stereotypes, representation and body image. Each day will wrap up with a recap of what we have learned and an activity that aligns with the topic.

#GirlsToo (ages 6-8)

August 24 & 25 - 10am-2pm

We will take a look at the media, stereotypes, representation and body image. Each day will wrap up with a recap of what we have learned and an activity that aligns with the topic.
