Girls Inc. has planned a unique and fun event as our fundraiser for the United Way Campaign for 2015. We will be running our 4th Annual Zombie Run on Saturday, September 26th. The objective of the run is for the runners to survive a 5 km run with zombies strategically placed along the route trying to capture all three of their flags. Once a runner has lost all 3 flags they are eliminated; however runners may purchase additional flags along the route.
Runners will need to pay a registration fee to participate the Day of the Event.
The Runners Registration Fee is $50, however if you raise Pledges you can receive discounts as follows:
- •$50 in pledged $10 off Registration
- •$100 in pledges $20 off Registration
- •$150 in pledges $30 off Registration
- •$200 in pledges $40 off Registration
- •$250+ in pledges Registration is Free
If you choose to register without raising pledges, please bring your $50 on race day. Pledges raised need be brought on the event day to the registration table.
EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: Runners who register before August 25th will have a registration fee of $40!
To collect Pledges for the United Way Sheets can be found downloaded here. Funds are due on race day.
Zombies that raise a minimum of $50 of funds will be entered into a “Zombies Only” draw for a chance to win special prizes!
The run will start and end at the Doug Barnes Cabin (Birchwood Trails, on the Bear Trail) – with a barbeque for the survivors, non survivors, zombies and volunteers.
Registration begins at noon, and the race begins at 1pm. Parking will be available across the road at the Casman Centre.
