Last year we asked for your help in ‘shattering’ glass ceilings, obstacles barriers and stereotypes. This year, we are putting the pieces back together to envision a more diverse, equitable and inclusive society.

Join us on International Women's Day, March 8th, 2021 to celebrate five local women.
When you purchase a ticket you will receive an experience box, at home celebration kit and more items. During the event you will be able to shop some locally-owned and operated women-led businesses, explore the silent auction and learn more about Girls Inc.!

Farah Mohamed

Through compelling personal experience and lessons-learned, Farah inspires audiences to cultivate a better future. Farah was born and raised in Uganda before her family was uprooted and sought refuge in Canada. She saw the need to change the way we engage both women and men and acted on it.

This event will facilitate a casual yet meaningful peer-to-peer mentoring session for girls in the Wood Buffalo Region on March 12th, 1-2 p.m.
Featuring Maryam Tsegaye as our special youth mentor -- the very first Canadian to win Breakthrough Junior Challenge, watch her video here.
The girls will be able to ‘see’ what they can ‘be’ by learning Maryam’s journey through science, coupled with a Q&A session and a special interactive activity.
Swag bags will be dropped off before the event and there will be door prizes to be won!
