Bansi Maradiya has been selected to be a member of Girls Inc. National Teen Advocacy (TAC) Council 2022-23.

The network of local Girls Inc. non-profit organizations serves girls ages 5-18 at more than 1,500 sites in 350 cities across the United States and Canada.

Bansi, along with 11 other girls represents nine Girls Inc. affiliates through advocacy efforts with social media campaigns, and meetings with congressional offices and will advise and inform the organization’s advocacy by sharing their life experiences and views about issues facing girls and youth in their communities.

“The Teen Advocacy Council has given me the opportunity to apply myself to projects that pertain to girls nationally and make a positive impact in their lives. I am incredibly excited to build my advocacy skills and strengthen my campaign for empowering girls globally,” said Bansi.

She is the only member to represent a Canadian Affiliate and we at Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta are so excited for her and all other members of this year’s cohort. “Bansi is a joy to work with. Her enthusiasm for working with the youth is much appreciated,” explained senior program coordinator Abigail Falvey in her most recent Youth Volunteer Evaluation.
