The direction of this program is completely up to YOU!
Girls Inc. Alumni participants will work together to design and plan this program as they go along. Meeting once a week, the girls will work on developing a variety of skills while building on knowledge learned during their time with Girls Inc.
Activities will include, but are not limited to; movie nights, crafts, baking, guest speakers, and of course there will be snacks! This program allows ALL girls to have a voice and will offer something for everyone to enjoy!
For ages 8-12.
Our activities will include:
Tuesday, November 12th – Introductions!
We will focus on getting to know all the girls through ice breaker games as well as giving the girls the opportunity to plan this program together. We will also be brainstorming ideas for future sessions together.
Tuesday, November 19th – Games Night!
We will meet at the Girls Inc. building to have a fun night of leadership games, board games, charades and cards!
Tuesday, November 26th – Craft Night!
A night of crafts and fun will take place at the Girls Inc. building! Making friendship bracelets, colouring and decorating the alumni room to make it their own are just a few of the activities that will take place.
Tuesday, December 3rd – Pajamas & Movie Night @ The Hub Downtown
We will be having a PJ and movie night at the Hub. Please wear a comfy pair of PJs, bring a blanket or teddy bear if you would like and join us for a movie (Disney’s Brave). Some treats will be provided! Please drop your child off at the Hub Family Resource Center downtown on Franklin Ave
Tuesday, December 10th – Bring a Friend for a Surprise!
We are keeping the details to this night a surprise! All we ask is that you try and bring a friend to enjoy the festivities with us 🙂 It’s also a great way for the girls to meet new friends.
Please keep in mind that this schedule is subject to change! The program will take place at our Girls Inc. building downtown on Franklin Avenue unless otherwise stated. We would greatly appreciate advance notice if your child cannot attend a particular session! Thank you 🙂
